DRIVER DISABLED IN REAR-END ACCIDENT TO RECEIVE $3.500,000
Plaintiff  was stopping to make a left turn when defendant rear-ended her car.  She has been disabled since and has undergone surgeries for her injuries.  Liability was assigned by summary judgment in early March by Morris County Judge Stephen F. Smith.  A damages mediation took place in late March before retired Superior Court Judge Edward J. Seaman, wherein plaintiffs were awarded $3,500,000 from Pullins, his employer Blue Dot Services and the leasing company.  The plaintiffs were represented by Daniel R. Danzi, Esq, of Montville.

WOMAN CRUSHED TO DEATH, ESTATE TO RECEIVE $2,365,000
On May 12, 2001, Plaintiff decedent, Greta Schmidt was crushed to death in the presence of her daughter, Emily Schmidt.  Defendant Hawley backed up his truck crushing Plaintiff decedent; Greta Schmidt; between the back of his truck and a Raritan Valley garbage truck.  The Estate of Great Schmidt sued defendants Hawley, Ford Motor Company and the Township of West Amwell.  The Estate was awarded $500,000.00 from defendant, Hawley and New Jersey Manufacturers. Settlement against the Defendant, Ford Motor Company remains sealed pursuant to a confidentiality agreement and plaintiffs recovered $1,850,000.00 against the Defendant, Township of West Amwell.  The Estate of Greta Schmidt was represented by Daniel R. Danzi, Esq. of Montville.
